Gas Station Hearing Tomorrow – Please note this has been cancelled.  Petition withdrawn!

Come out to support your neighbors in Englewood tomorrow.  The hearing to fight the appeal for gas station/c-store at the SE corner of NY & Rural is tomorrow, May 7th at 1pm. PLEASE recruit as many folks as possible to join us at the City County Building – 2nd floor Public Assembly room.  Englewood neighbors, businesses, and organizations in the area are against this gas station/convenience store for a number of reasons.

1.  It encourages crime

2. It encourages litter

3.  Those who live in the area are opposed to it

4.  Would make the intersection dangerous for pedestrians, bikers, those who ride the bus and who drive

5.  It is not neighborhood-friendly development

6.  It does not fall in line with the Near Eastside Quality of Life Plan.

If you can make it for the hearing tomorrow afternoon, Englewood and NESCO would greatly appreciate the help. The more people who show up the more the hearing examiners will know that the neighborhood is against this development.
