NESCO is committed to supporting our community in the fight against the opioid overdose epidemic. Through the dedicated efforts of the NESCO Overdose Team and our east side community partners, we have successfully lowered overdose deaths by 20% in the past year. With the rise in overdose risks, it is crucial for everyone to stay informed and equipped to respond effectively. We provide access to life-saving tools like naloxone (Narcan) and offer educational opportunities for overdose prevention, ensuring our community continues moving in the right direction.

Fine Naloxone (Narcan) Near Me

As a proud partner of Overdose Lifeline, we offer easy access to Naloxone (Narcan), the life-saving medication that reverses opioid overdoses. Visit their site to learn more about obtaining Narcan and to see their statewide distribution efforts.

Overdose Response Training

NESCO offers free, regular training sessions throughout the year on how to recognize an opioid overdose and administer naloxone/Narcan, a life-saving medication. These sessions are open to the public, and no medical experience is required—administering Narcan is simple and could save a life.

During each session, we cover the following topics:

      • What is an opioid?
      • Recognizing the signs and symptoms of an opioid overdose
      • How to administer Naloxone/Narcan
      • Statistics on opioid overdoses in the Near East Side
      • Q & A session

These trainings are free, and everyone is encouraged to join us. Keep an eye on our events page for upcoming training dates and locations.
