In 2014 Indianapolis became the 5th largest solar energy producing city, per capita, in the nation! All those solar installs are not just occurring on the west side like you see at the airport, but there are many right in our east side neighborhood.
The Indiana Renewable Energy Association is hosting the 2014 Indy Eastside Solar Tour on October 4th from 1pm to 5pm to showcase the many residential and light commercial solar installations right in your neighborhood. With installation including in the Englewood, Woodruff Place, and Irvington neighborhoods, the east side is becoming a hot bed for solar!
The event will be kicked off at the Englewood Christian Church and you will get to travel throughout the various eastside neighborhoods to the last site at the Irvington Lofts.
Bring your family and friends, ride your bike if you would like, all the sites are within 5 miles of each other!
