First Friday in Fletcher Park
Windsor Park Neighborhood Association and Circle City Industrial Complex Artists Partner for
Outdoor Celebration

INDIANAPOLIS, IN – JULY 9TH, 2013– Windsor Park Neighborhood Association (WPNA) and Circle City
Industrial Complex (CCIC) Artists join together to showcase the newly acquired Fletcher Park and to
highlight local artists-in-residence on August 2nd with a unique outdoor First Friday “opening” in
the park from 5-10pm. This event is in conjunction with the monthly IDADA First Friday gallery open
houses within the CCIC on Indianapolis’ Near Eastside.
Windsor Park Neighborhood Association recently announced the acquisition of historic Fletcher Park.
The park, located at 1429 E. Brookside Avenue, is the triangle of land between Brookside Avenue,
Arsenal Avenue, and 12th Street. The park will act as an outdoor gallery exhibiting works from the
artists of the CCIC including Nancy Lee Designs Studio, Carla Knopp, Paul D. Best Photography, M10
Photographers, LITMUS Gallery, Morgan Sheets M2 Massage and Wellness, Five Talents Gallery, Katrina
Murray, Ben Madeska and others to be announced. The “Premium Blend Trio”, led by Jared Thompson on
saxophone, sponsored by the Chatterbox Jazz Club on Mass Ave will entertain guests in
the park space as they mingle among the sculpture and paintings. During the event, future design
plans for Fletcher Park will be presented and the possible sculptures from our recent Request for
Proposal sponsored by Keep Indianapolis Beautiful and The Arts Council of Indianapolis will be
announced. At dusk, Craig Mince and his Indianapolis Film Festival award winning Roving Cinema: The
Pop-Up Edition will show a movie before the festivities end.

New Day Meadery will serve wine by the glass as a way of celebrating their recent expansion and
relocation of their production facility within the CCIC. Additionally, Near Eastside food truck
Duos will be on hand to provide food and beverages throughout the evening.

Like all First Friday events, First Friday in Fletcher Park is free, family friendly, and open to
the public. A portion of the proceeds for the event will go to the rehabilitation of Fletcher Park.
Updates regarding the event can be found on the Circle City Industrial Complex Artists’ and the
