At the beginning of the year, our neighbourhood set out to develop a vision and a model for an education system that works for our students, families, and educators. In the spring, we received confirmation that our neighbourhood would develop a school model that will be implemented at Thomas D. Gregg School 15, beginning in the fall of 2017.
Over the past 9 months, neighbours, parents, educators, school administrators, and community partners have compiled the ideas and recommendations of the broader community to develop a school model that serves the specific needs of our students and families. This school model will undergo an approval process, but before it does, it is imperative that our families and neighbours review the model to ensure that it captures the mission, vision, core values, and recommendations that the neighbourhood has expressed throughout the year.
At this Summit, School 15 families, Near Eastside neighbours, community leaders, IPS leaders, and other key stakeholders will review the school model, and provide input for final adjustments and recommendations that need to be made before it is submitted for approval. Your voice is needed!
The Education Summit is free. To RSVP, visit https://www.eventbrite.com/e/near-eastside-education-summit-the-school-model-tickets-28420549629?aff=eac2iCal
