Pi Day kicks off at 6pm in the Paramount Brookside cafeteria (3020 Nowland Ave).
Bakers entering the pie competition should arrive at 5:45 p.m.; pie judging will commence at 6:15 p.m. with celebrity judges. Family activities, such as a robotics demonstration and a student recital of ‘Pi to 100 digits’ will run throughout the event. Doors close at 8:00 p.m.
Prices for pie and ice cream start at $5, and an entire family will be able to dine for $25 or less.
There is a $10/pie entry fee for pie contest participants. The judged pies will be auctioned off at the end of the night with proceeds supporting EDIN’s East Side Games, held every summer.
