Brookside Bash

The 3rd annual Brookside Bash will take place on Saturday, May 18, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Paramount School of Excellence at 3020 Nowland Ave. in Brookside.
In this annual fundraiser, Paramount School of Excellence partners with the Brookside Neighborhood Association for a large outdoor festival. The Brookside Bash is a collaboration of community members, law enforcement, local businesses, corporations, and hobbyists. This year’s Brookside Bash will begin with a 5K Color Dash starting at 10:45 am. The 5K will begin at Paramount School of Excellence and run through Brookside Park, returning to Paramount School for the finish. Color runs have become a signature running event around the world as participants run through clouds of colored powder thrown into the air by spectators. The non-toxic colored powder colors the runners in an eclectic array of red, blue, yellow, green, and orange. By the time racers have completed the race they have become a visually stunning spectacle. The race will conclude as the Brookside Bash begins, allowing for a fun kick-off to the event. To learn more, or to register for the Color Dash, please visit the Brookside Bash Color Dash website at: http://brooksidebashcolordash.blogspot.com.
Proceeds from food sales at the Brookside Bash will support the Brookside Neighborhood, helping to keep streets and alleys clean, Proceeds from all other games and activities will support a summer program that will employ urban youth at Paramount School and engage them through plant science, urban gardening, and character development.
Tickets for games and events at the Brookside Bash can be purchased on the day of the festival at Paramount School of Excellence. All food purchases will be cash-only sales. For more information on the Brookside Bash, please contact ppurvis@paramountindy.org.

Brookside Bash Color Dash

The Brookside Bash Color Dash is a 5K race, thought up by a couple of 8th grade students at Paramount School of Excellence. They wanted to have a fun 5k event that was  a lot of fun, affordable, and could tie into our neighborhood celebration day- The Brookside Bash! They’d heard of other color funs, and they seemed like a lot of fun, so why not try one at Paramount?

Funds raised by the Brookside Bash Color Dash will go to the Pacers Foundation  http://www.pacersfoundation.org/

The Pacers Foundation has worked with Paramount Students in the past to promote their anti-bullying message. In an effort to give back to the community that has given a lot to students in need, our students decided to donate all funds raised from the Color Dash specifically toward this anti-bullying effort.
