Training

What & Were:
The National Center for Victims of Crime is hosting a free training on civil justice for crime victims taking place in Indianapolis on June 18. The goal of this training is to prepare communities and local officials to better respond to victims. Attendees will learn critical skills and knowledge to competently inform victims on how they can use civil lawsuits to obtain justice, hold responsible parties accountable, prevent future crimes, and will include a panel of attorneys to answer specific questions related to Pennsylvania State law.
Crime victims face many obstacles accessing justice and rebuilding their lives. The civil justice system offers victims another opportunity to obtain justice. However, this opportunity is often missed because victims and service providers are unprepared to direct victims toward civil action. As a key stakeholder in the public safety of Indiana, we hope that you will join us on June 18 and encourage you to share this invitation with your colleagues.
Attendance is free, but space is limited so please reserve your spot today by registering in advance. Click here to register.
